The Sam Fox School students involved in the WashUCity Partnership saw campus through a new set of eyes on Thursday, April 23, when they gave tours to students from University City Senior High School.
The Graphic Art class at University City High School is taught by Todd Yancy, and is the partner class for the WashUCity Program. Yancy joined the 16 juniors and seniors from University City as they got an up close-and-personal look at the Sam Fox School. Students were taken through Bixby, Steinberg, and Givens Halls and the Kranzberg Book Studio. They were also guided through studios and classrooms so they could see all aspects of being in the Art or Architecture Schools.
The trip was a huge success, with students from both schools learning from each other.
The WashUCity Partnership was co-founded by Heather Corcoran, associate professor in Communication Design, and Traci Moore Clay, lecturer in the Communication Design Elective Program. Student participants are juniors and seniors in Communication Design.
