Our Pre-College Programs are geared specifically to high school students. These three-week programs—Portfolio Plus and Architecture Discovery Program—give students the opportunity to develop skills that are fundamental to the fields of architecture, art, and design while producing work in a real studio.
Explore Architecture gives current college students and graduates who are interested in a career in architecture an intensive introduction to the field. Students learn about topics such as drawing, digital representation, architectural analysis, sustainable design, and design theory while developing high-quality work for inclusion in their portfolios
The Alberti Program-Architecture for Young People is a problem-solving studio workshop about architecture, community, and the environment for a select group of fourth- through ninth-grade students from St. Louis-area schools.
The Sam Fox School also sponsors several international programs that give students in both art and architecture the opportunity to spend the summer studying in Europe.
Our summer courses are open to current Washington University students, students from other colleges/universities, and adults seeking career advancement or creative enrichment.
